What is Google's new structured data markup for forums and profiles?

Search engines like Google work hard to read the content of a page. In these cases, we can help them by giving explicit clues and adding structured data on the page. Recently, Google announced it will support structured data for discussion forums and profile pages in Google searches. What is Structured data?

It is a standardised format for providing information about a page and classifying its content. Adding structured data on a page helps engage the users and encourage them to search more on your website. Google uses these structured data to understand the information on the web.

Structured data uses a unique code, which helps search engines read the content on the web page. Microdata, RDFa, and JSON-LD. Microdata, RDFa, and JSON-LD are the three types of structured data formats supported by Google. Microdata and RDFa are mainly markup syntaxes.

Google Updates of data markup 

Recently, Google announced support for structured data markup for forums and profiles to improve search visibility. A new search console report was also announced to monitor the new markup. It helps Google to identify and display information from web forums.

As per Google’s new update, the content creator can control how their content appears on search results. Let’s check some advantages of new structured data:

*Improved search Appearance: Using it correctly allows the website to stand out in Google; it improves click-through rates. 

*More visibility for creators:  I give opportunities for individual creators to get highlighted in search results.

* Audience growth: This new markup allows us to identify the content; it will automatically increase the number of visitors.
